Olivia C. Shifflett, MBA
Just as Leitner Law has grown over the years, so has our Executive Director, Olivia Shifflett. Olivia began her career working as an intern at Leitner Law when she was a student at Bridgewater College. After graduating magna cum laude from Bridgewater College with a BS in Business Administration, Olivia joined the firm as a legal assistant in 2017.
Always seeking ways to grow professionally, Olivia continued her education, receiving her Certificate of Paralegal Studies from James Madison University in 2018 and becoming a nationally certified paralegal. In addition to her paralegal duties, Olivia took on administrative and HR roles and soon became the firm’s office administrator and HR Director. Once again, Olivia continued her education, earning her Master of Business Administration from JMU in 2021. Upon receiving her MBA, Olivia began serving as Leitner Law's Executive Director.
Olivia is a Shenandoah Valley native, and when she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Austin, and their sons, Baker and Asher, taking in all our wonderful Valley has to offer her young family!
Legal Assistant
Sydney Stearn
Sydney is a Shenandoah native who grew up in and attended Broadway High School before earning her degree at James Madison University. She came to Leitner Law with a solid background in legal administration, records management, and public service—experience that gives her a well‑rounded perspective on client needs and office efficiency.
Since joining the firm in 2025 as a Legal Assistant, Sydney is a key point of contact for clients, assisting with document preparation, file organization, and day‑to‑day case support. Her ability to manage details while keeping the bigger picture in mind helps ensure that every matter moves forward smoothly.
Outside the office, Sydney enjoys quality time with her daughter, whether that means a cozy family dinner or a weekend adventure in the great outdoors. She values strong connections with loved ones and brings the same warm, caring spirit to her work with clients and colleagues alike.

Sarah S. Fuquay
Sarah Fuquay is a lifelong resident of the Shenandoah Valley, growing up in Lacey Spring and graduating from Broadway High School. With a career rooted in working with people, Sarah brought her extensive experience to Leitner Law in 2022.
Before joining the firm, Sarah spent 18 years as a self-employed mobile notary and loan signing agent. This role allowed her to connect with countless individuals in the community while also embracing the flexibility to be a stay-at-home mom to her two children, Nadia and Alex, who are now grown and pursuing careers of their own. Sarah also gained valuable experience working in the orthodontic field and with a financial planner, further enriching her ability to provide exceptional client support.
At Leitner Law, Sarah is often the first friendly face clients see upon arriving and plays an integral role in the estate planning process. She frequently meets with clients to finalize and sign their estate planning documents—a favorite aspect of her job, as it allows her to build connections and provide meaningful assistance.
Sarah has been married to her husband, Michael, since 1999. They are deeply involved in their church and enjoy volunteering together as a family. Sarah cherishes spending time with family and friends when she's not at work and loves vacationing whenever possible.

Lori Meinhold
Lori Meinhold joined the Leitner Law team, bringing with her over 35 years of experience in business management and administration. Originally from Ohio, she moved to the Valley in 1987 and quickly embraced the community. Throughout her career, Lori has built a strong foundation of expertise in both the oral surgery field and the mortgage industry, where she developed a keen attention to detail, a client-centered approach, and a passion for providing exceptional service.
Lori’s dedication to helping others, paired with her adaptability and problem-solving skills, makes her a valued member of the Leitner Law team. Her ability to create a welcoming environment for clients and support the needs of her colleagues truly sets her apart.
Outside of work, Lori treasures time spent with her son, capturing the beauty of the Valley’s stunning sunsets through her photography and discovering hidden gems at local craft shows. An avid sports fan, she enjoys cheering on her favorite football and baseball teams, always bringing her enthusiasm and team spirit to every game.

Katie Stum
Katie is a dedicated and driven student currently attending Penn State University, where she is pursuing a degree in Global and International Studies with a focus on global conflict and another second degree in Italian, alongside minors in Global Security and Political Science. Katie has been with Leitner Law since junior year of high school, as an intern!
Born and raised in a local Harrisonburg family with two older sisters, an amazing mother and fantastic father. Outside of academics and work, she finds joy in the company of friends, often hanging out with them at Penn State. When not socializing, Katie enjoys a variety of activities, including hiking with her family at Shenandoah National Park. Additionally, Katie and her family enjoy camping trips!
At home, Katie is never without her two beloved dogs, Brewster and Winnie, both Labrador Retrievers. Whether it’s shopping, spending time with loved ones, or venturing into nature, Katie balances her demanding academic and professional schedule with moments of relaxation and connection to the things she loves.

Grace Keck
Grace joined the Leitner Law team in 2024. She is currently pursuing her studies in accounting at James Madison University. Originally from Maryland, Grace brings valuable experience from her time working at an elder law firm, where she assisted with administrative tasks and estate administration accountings, showcasing her strong aptitude for math.
As a dedicated student with plans to graduate in 2028, Grace aspires to build a career in forensic accounting. Her attention to detail and enthusiasm for learning make her an excellent fit for our team!
When she’s not studying or working, Grace enjoys spending time with friends, staying active at the gym, and indulging in spontaneous travel adventures—specifically to Disney World!
